Whole30 – Day 5


PRE-WOD: Hard boiled egg and a few macadamia nuts

BREAKFAST: 1 egg and 3 egg whites with butternut squash hash, lean ground beef and mixd berries


Today for lunch I met up with some old co-workers and they picked Veggie Grill. As you may have been able to guess from the title, they don’t serve any meat and all their proteins are made from soy. HOWEVER, I looked at the menu beforehand and discovered a paleo option….Papa’s Portobello! It’s a grilled mushroom, chopped tomato, basil & garlic pomodoro, caramelized onions, lettuce and red onion (I ordered it kale style with no pesto or chipotle ranch). It was delicious, but not very filling, so I had a banana with a spoonful of almond butter when I got back to the office.

LUNCH: Papa’s Portobello Kale Style from Veggie Grill in Hollywood & Banana with 1tbsp of almond butter

SNACK: Apple & Cashew Cookie Lara Bar 


DINNER: Leftover Italian Turkey Meatballs with Marinara on top of grilled eggplant and a side salad

5 days down…only 25 more to go!
